Soft Lip Conditioner Balm does not contain essential oils. The herbal ingredients in Soft Lip Conditioner Balm are traditionally prepared herbal extracts, such as herbs infused into carrier oils. Carrier oils are emollient lipid oils, cold-pressed from the nuts, seeds, or pits of plants that contain fatty acids and non-volatile antioxidants and other oil-soluble phytonutrients.

Is the alcohol ingredient in Soft Lip Conditioner Balm drying?

Cetyl Alcohol is a plant-derived fatty alcohol that is not drying to the skin.

Does Soft Lip Conditioner Balm have a scent or flavor?

Soft Lip Conditioner Balm is unscented, and does not contain fragrances or flavors. All shades of the Soft Lip Conditioner Balm are neutral, as the names are inspired by their color, not a flavor.

Is Soft Lip Conditioner Balm vegan?

No, Soft Lip Conditioner Balm contains beeswax.

Is Soft Lip Conditioner Balm gluten-free?

There are no gluten ingredients included in the formula but it’s not tested to confirm no gluten. As a reminder, gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin.

What is the source of the tocopherol?

The tocopherols in Soft Lip Conditioner Balm are derived from sunflower, not soy.

Is it okay to use DermaQuell skincare products on infected skin?

DermaQuell skincare products are not intended to be used as a substitute for medication and should not be applied to an active skin infection. These products could make infected skin feel worse and require appropriate treatment before use. Please consult with your doctor to get the appropriate medication. 

Are DermaQuell products Non-GMO?

We do our best to use Non-GMO sourced ingredients in Quell skincare as much as possible. However, some ingredients are impossible to be verified (such as the beeswax we use though it is sourced in the US) while other ingredients cannot be confirmed as Non-GMO due to complexity within the supply chain (i.e. certain base oils and hydrosols used in certain ingredients). In our efforts to be transparent, this difficulty in verification prevents us from claiming that all ingredients are Non-GMO.

Are DermaQuell products organic?

Quell skincare products use organic ingredients whenever possible, but some ingredients are so obscure that they are difficult to find certified organic. And some ingredients are unable to be certified organic at all — like the mineral Zinc, for example (it's not a plant). That said, Quell skincare products use naturally-derived, botanical ingredients whenever possible.

How to Use Your Soft Lip Conditioner Balm

Soft Lip Conditioner Balm goes on with the perfect matte, shine-free finish that rebuilds + locks in moisture with real, natural ingredients that don't just wipe off with each bite or sip!

Apply in the morning + before bed after brushing your teeth. To warm up the wax in this product, pass the balm over each lip 4 to 6 times to evenly apply the Soft Lip Conditioner Balm. When using the tinted options, more passes across the lips will result in more color on the lips.

Reapply 1-2x daily for best results.

"I got the peach and the cinnamon. I love them both! This isn’t your regular lip balm. It’s not greasy/oily so it doesn’t end up in your mouth like so many others do. Instead it is a matte texture that stays put. Even when eating, I did not have to reapply afterwards. I went to bed with it on one night, and woke up in the morning with it completely intact! Basically, it lasts all day (and night) without having to reapply. I also love how it is a tint rather than a heavy/thick color. Very natural looking. This will be a staple in my makeup kit."

"I love this chapstick. It’s definitely different than traditional chapstick, it does not have a glossy “slip & slide” feeling, so it take some getting used to, but it actually moisturizes my lips and doesn’t cause them to peel even more. It does leave a very very faint white cast. That doesn’t bother me, but if it would both you then I would just apply at nighttime and you’ll wake up with super soft lips! Will definitely buy again!"
